Volunteers are the most important part of running a successful event and we are looking for some wonderful people to help us out!

As a volunteer you will be given a free Regionals volunteer T-Shirt, have access to the hospitality tent (free food and beverage) and will have the chance to win some fabulous volunteer prizes.

We have the following positions available:

12:00-9:00 pm

Job Descriptions:

Timer - timing of each individual team's run - must have experience with electronic timing system

Scribe - writing down faults or points and time on each dog's record sheet

Gate Steward - responsible for maintaining a constant and orderly flow of dogs and handlers into and out of the ring

Ring Coordinator - provides training (if required) and organization of volunteers for their ring, provide water, sunscreen, etc to judges & ring crew and make sure that the electronic timing system is taken care of (replace batteries as required and put away during breaks and at the end of the day)

Scribe Assistant - preparation of scribe sheets for scribe and scribe runner

Pole setters - replace knocked bars, change jump heights for different classes, change A-frame height for Specials/Veterans, and adjust tunnels if required

Leash runner - takes leash from start line to finish line

Scribe runner - collects record sheets from the 3 rings to brings the scoring area

Course builders - help set the courses for the next events

Parking attendants - direct competitors and campers to the designated areas


We will also need volunteers in a shorter capacity for the following:

Volunteer check-in table: Friday 8:00 am-9:00 am, Saturday 7:00 am- 8:00 am, Sunday 7:00 am- 8:00 am

Competitor check-in table: Friday 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm, Saturday 7:00 am- 8:00 am

Silent auction & Banquet set-up: Saturday 3:00 pm- 5:00 pm

Hospitality Tent attendants: Friday/Saturday/Sunday 7:30 am - approx 4:00 pm (makes sure that refreshments are available for judges and volunteers)

Steeplechase Final announcer: Sunday after last round of Regionals events

Gopher: Friday/Saturday/Sunday 7:00 am - approx 4:00 pm (last minute jobs and assist ring coordinators)


During the months of April and May, we have some trials where you can practice your skills. Ask for details if you would like to participate.
